- Two materials of the faction's own, found nowhere else

- Now and then, a set of the faction's ship plans
- Once in a long while, a relic of the faction's own
Once you are Exalted, the bar on the faction page now runs toward your next chest.
Four Relics
Each faction's chest keeps a relic of its own, out of the faction's oldest stories.
- The Unsold Chart, Tidewardens: more from every scouting find
- Kael's Adze, Ironwright Guild: faster Drydock repairs
- The Burned Pardon, Blacktide Compact: more plunder
- The First Net, Deepwater Accord: more bumper hauls

Three factions now pay standing for more than quests.
- A won raid on a port of three stars or more can turn up a Prize Book, read for standing with the Blacktide Compact.
- A scout that charts new water can turn up a Pilot's Book, read for standing with the Tidewardens.
- Each book has a great one, five times the standing, and far rarer.
- Salvage trips now pay standing with the Ironwright Guild, and the deeper the wreck, the more they pay.

When a faction's hull reaches rank V, its chest starts carrying the plans for a second ship, built from that faction's own two materials.
- Wayfarer, Tidewardens: a scout she sails with charts the two tiles either side as well, and brings home what they hold.
- Masterwork, Ironwright Guild: while she is afloat, some of your sunk ships make it home.
- Widowmaker, Blacktide Compact: more loot from Wanted and Notorious ports, and the higher the bounty, the more she takes.
- Sea Mother, Deepwater Accord: she works the school, and every other fishing hull in the fleet adds to her catch.
All four can hold their own in a fight, and all four rank up like the rest.
